WHAT IS A TRUST?

A trust is a contract in which a person, known as trustor, undertakes to transfer property and/or rights over property to another person, known as trustee, so the latter can manage them as instructed in a contract. After a certain term or upon termination of the contract, the trustee transfers the outcome or results established by the trustor to the trustor or a third party known as beneficiary.

TRUSTEE

A trustee is a legal entity or individual who is granted full ownership of certain goods with the limitation of carrying out only the acts provided for in the contract. A trustee is in charge of the administration of a trust.

BENEFICIARY

A beneficiary is a person who receives the benefits from the trust. It may also be more than one person.

TRUSTOR

A trustor is a person who establishes a trust, transmitting ownership of goods to a trustee in order to fulfill the specific objective of the trust.
